Steps are buildable structures in Stranded Deep. They can only be crafted.
Description[]
Steps are an easy way to ascend or descend built structures. A single built step is approximately 1 wall in height and 1 foundation in length. Requirements to make every type of steps:
Wood steps:
- Lashing (x1)
- Stick (x4)
- Any type of hammer
- Craftsmanship level 2.
Plank steps:
- Plank scrap (x3)
- Any type of hammer
- Craftsmanship level 3.
Corrugated steps:
- Corrugated scrap (x3)
- Any type of hammer
- Craftsmanship level 4.
Brick steps:
- Brick scrap (x3)
- Any type of hammer
- Craftsmanship level 5.
Steps' direction in the planning phase can be adjusted by holding Q and E respectively. Once crafted and placed, they will need to be hammered until the structure's health fills up. To remove a structure, use any type of harvesting tool and hit the steps. Once destroyed, they will yield back some of the resources, depending on your craftsmanship level.
Notes[]
- A refined hammer hammers more effectively than a crude hammer.
- The player must have a hammer in their inventory to be able to build structures.
