Kura fruit is a type of plant and fruit in Stranded Deep. They can be found on some islands.
Description[]
Kura are long-ish fruits with dark spots that can be picked off kura plants. They are found, but not guaranteed, on any kind of island. They will never regrow by themselves, but can be planted into a farming plot to produce an infinite amount of them.
They can be picked up and stored up to 8 per slot. They will spoil in exactly 24 in-game hours.
Use[]
Kura, if eaten on cooking level 0, restores 2 bars of hunger and 1 bar of thirst; it will provide more food value the higher the cooking level is. The fruit itself cannot be cooked, but can be used to make gauze, which stops bleeding.
Because it is farmable, it can be grown in farming plots, each plant yielding 1 fruit (will not need to be replanted) every 2-3 days. If the player does not want to keep growing the fruit and desire to replace it with something else, they can remove them with a crude hoe.
Notes[]
- Kura will not spoil if left on the plant. Its spoiling cannot be prevented any other (known) way.
- If a spoiled kura is eaten, it will cause the player to vomit, losing 1 bar of thirst.
- It is one of the two fruit types in the game, the other one being quwawa.
